This August, The Great Dragon Egg Quest is coming to the beautiful Victorian Gardens of Spetchley Park Estate for the very first time.
Hidden amongst winding pathways, ancient trees and secret corners of the gardens, ten dragon eggs have magically appeared. Armed with your enchanted quest map, your mission is to uncover each one, solve the riddle, complete the challenge and earn your reward...all before the dragon awakens.
Hidden amongst winding pathways, ancient trees and secret corners of the gardens lie ten lost dragon eggs. The mother dragon has returned to find them, but she cannot do it alone!
Armed with your enchanted map, your quest is to find each egg, solve the riddle and help reunite the dragon with her precious eggs before it is too late!
1st – 30th August, Wednesday through Sunday every week.

The Great Dragon Egg Quest runs Wednesday – Sunday, 10.30am – 5.00pm, from 1st – 30th August.

Do I have to arrive exactly at the start of my time slot?
No. You can arrive at any point during your booked arrival window and stay for as long as you wish.
What is included in my ticket?
Your ticket includes admission to Spetchley Gardens, The Great Dragon Egg Quest, your enchanted quest map, clues, prize and access to all dragon installations throughout the trail.
How long does the adventure take?
Most families spend around 40 minutes to 1 hour completing the quest, although many visitors choose to stay longer to enjoy the gardens and café.
Is the trail suitable for young children?
Absolutely. The quest has been designed for families with children of all ages to enjoy together.
Can I bring a picnic?
We would prefer you don't bring your own picnics, help us support local business by purchasing delicious, locally-sourced food from our Garden Café, open the same days as the Gardens, serving light lunches, hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes and snacks throughout the day.
Are dogs welcome?
We regret that dogs are not allowed on the premises, with the exception of assistance dogs.
Is the trail accessible?
Visitors with accessibility needs are very welcome at Spetchley. The Gardens are flat, and paths are either gravel or grass, though some areas are less wheelchair-friendly, so please check with the team before visiting. One Carer receives complimentary admission with a disabled visitor. Mobility scooters can be hired in advance for £10 per half day by booking online. Blue badge parking and accessible toilet facilities are available on site.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available on site, including accessible parking spaces.
Is smoking or vaping permitted?
No. In line with the Health Act 2006, smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any buildings, in enclosed or covered areas, or anywhere in the gardens.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The dragon is not afraid of a little rain! The quest takes place outdoors and will go ahead in most weather conditions. Please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Booking amendments and cancellations are subject to the booking terms shown at checkout. Please contact the team on enquiries@spetchleyparkestate.co.uk if you require any assistance with your booking.
How do I book?
Pre-booking is a must and can be completed an hour before your visit. For events, we always recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
The day is divided into 3 sessions just pick the one you would like to come to at the checkout.
